To pause is to inhale life slowly, reflectively. – Linda J. Wolff
“If you do not enjoy time/it will escape you,” I reflect in this free verse poem “Crawling Ivy Hopeful.” with a reflective thinking of how fast time escapes us. How we fill each second with busyness, places to go, things to do. Stop! Enjoy true-self in the full bearing of whom you’re.
Look into the mirror, see the reflection of skin over muscle, and bone. GOD, how beautiful and intricate you’re! To one of a kind in thousands of others and color the world with your voice, your song, your seeds. I’m in hopes you enjoy this free verse poem and digital art piece and reflect on how unique and spectacular you are to me!
The gate closes to a mystery.
Leaving us to ponder.
We’re crawling ivy hopeful,
in searching for an opening.
Today we happened between daylight and darkness,
and who broke free the lock of yesterday.
Soften white blooms of beauty.
Swaying green slivers of answers.
Brillant beauty in the smile of the sun.
Kiss lips with joy.
The flow of happiness
wash us into a tranquil blue sky
Let our contentment lead us to love
as the gate closes to a mystery
Like the laughter
Satisfaction with self
We’re the crawling ivy hopeful
