Random Thoughts: Meditative Moment-to-Moment

Today, I’m gonna ramble a few Random Thoughts: Meditative Moment-to-Moment. Sometimes I catch myself always doing things and not stopping to relax. As a single mom, I feel I don’t have the time to stop. Until I become ill and am being forced too.

When as a parent your children are in school, they tend to bring the virus bugs home with them. First, it’s you doing everything to get them feeling better before the school starts plaguing your phone with calls questioning why your child isn’t in the classroom. After 5 days of trying to beat the nasty flu bug down and out of your child, you’re being physically exhausted yourself. Sound familiar. I’m sure it does.

The last three days, I haven’t been able to even write let alone squeak out an ounce of focus on writing words. The bed hugged me so many times and I was a willing participant.

This morning was the first time I felt human. Thought I would search through Pixabay to find some inspiration. I came across this photo of a serene, calm, sunset. It was so peaceful. It hit me that this is me. I needed the time in bed… just to rest. No pressure to be anywhere or to be anything. No expectations. Just to heal, to gain strength just in stopping. I’m hoping you’re finding yourself some time to enjoy life too.

Does it matter to rush here or there? It means more to pay attention the moment-to-moment, to be aware of the present.
