Micro-Poetry Acceptance

To take what is and use it to one’s ability is Micro-Poetry Acceptance.

Throughout life’s experiences, one should manifest into a meditative acceptance. Micro-Poetry Acceptance is identity, awareness, inquiry of the right small doses of life, of love. Within social circles, family, relationships, events that can echo of survival. Points of identification found in learning, contemplation, in the voices of remembering, forgiving, and growth.

Love isn’t perfect because love means acceptance.

You can’t love without accepting

everything in whole. Of self. Of others.

Micropoetry is a genre of poetic verse which is characterized by its extreme brevity. In other words, a micro-poem is a short poem. (MicroPoetry)

Micro-poetry is a collective term for a variety of different forms of short poetry. As a poetic artform, it doesn’t really have any rules. Although it does consists of certain forms of short poetry with fixed rules such as haikutankasenryu and gogyohka. There are also no real character length limitations either. The limits are set by the medium with which they are being shared, and also that invisible line where micro-poetry becomes a regular length poem.

Definition of Acceptance:

Acceptance in human psychology is a person’s assent to the reality of a situation, recognizing a process or condition (often a negative or uncomfortable situation) without attempting to change it or protest it. The concept is close in meaning to acquiescence, derived from the Latin acquiēscere (to find rest in).[1] (Wikipedia)

Starbucks Coffee and 7 Happy Thoughts of Today

Through steam rising from a Starbucks coffee, thoughts race through my mind. I smile in appreciation of the small things.

Do you have small things? Mine is slow sips of Starbucks coffee.

Those little unique delights that exhilarate you, looking forward to the familiar patterns of the day! Maybe, it’s the way something pleasant smells or the fellow on the corner that always greets you with a Hello! Share your pleasant thoughts!

Starbucks Coffee and My 7 Happy Thoughts of Today

I slept so good and awoke before the alarm clock went off. Yeah!
Then, my boyfriend surprises me with a piping hot Starbuck’s
drip coffee and a heated classic coffee cake.
But, nothing was sweeter than his passionate kisses.
Out of nowhere a squirrel caught Rookie by surprise,
he barked with excitement in the chase.
But, the squirrel got away up in a tree, laughing, chattering.
Bianca is in a great mood, cause I am going to
have a conference with her teacher Mrs. Kendall at 2 pm.
(School conference week.) I know I will be impressed.
The colors of fall are of brilliant yellow,
orange, and greens fading to brown are
astounding this morning,
and the cold air helps me feel completely alive.

I love the changes of summer to fall.

What is a Free Verse Poetry? Typically, free verse is patterned by speech rather than a meter. Further, this form of poetry is very open to the author’s discretion and usually does not rhyme. Such as, visual and sound effects are often employed.  It can have as many lines as the writer wishes.
