Free Verse Poem Nudging Cold

In this, “Free Verse Poem Nudging Cold, golden fingers caress earth’s crust and hearts.

This morning was exhilarating, and I was inspired to write this little “Free Verse Poem Nudging Cold.” With my pink and cream colored cap, I embrace the cold with open arms. There’s something to be said about being dressed for the cold of winter. Piping hot coffee in hand and walking outside and crisp cold air that freezes inside the breath. I can feel it trying to creep inside my layers of clothing. My body fights back. Then the sun rises and nudges the cold again as it moves across my face and body. Euphoria!

Free Verse Poem Shadow Play

In this, “Free Verse Poem Shadow Play,” childhood memories flood black and white.

In, “Free Verse Poem Shadow Play,” a flashback. As a child, my father played a huge impact on my life in the name of “creativity. The many hours of snapping pictures, and then going to his darkroom to process the roll of film. Little gems of life evolve before your eyes under a liquid solution. He’s gone now. But I will never forget what he gave me. The angles, the shadow play, the smiles.

Free Verse Poem Shadow Play

On the surface of anomalistic paving stones
light stretches across dimensions.

For a fleeting time
shadows play with depth and perception.

I watch with camera in hand as a bystander in darkness.

Already I see shadows marauding grooves, endless voids.
I feel the quietness rush,
Imaging it is stopping an erected buzzing lamppost.

I stand and anticipate.
The exchange of light and darkness.
The chilling air.
Revealing time has moved a micro-second.
And then the shape changes,
And rectangular become longer,
And broader, lighter shades fade.
Whose fluctuations captured by a camera lens in video mode?
And the photographer whose knees are bending
Aching and balanced.

She inhales and breathes out slowly—

For creating picture-perfect— shakiness isn’t plausible.
As a photographer in a long black coat, with nimble fingers.
On the start button,
Time encapsulated, and shadows and light, framed second by second.
Changes,
Changes,

Steady is the hand that holds.

Holding steady!
Light moves
Shadows twist
Turn
Molding, bending over grooves.

The greatest video made
Is one tested with patience?
One of creativity.
There’s something—
Something inspiring about it—

I mean, the moment of shadows and light.

Free Verse Poem Night Birds and Constellations

In this, “Free Verse Poem Night Birds and Constellations,” sometimes weighed, in theory, is the mind of reaching.

In this, digital art piece and “Free Verse Poem Night Birds and Constellations.” A wandering mind seeking answers can be like a dark room. A dark room with closed blinds, shut off from outside visuals. Visual that possibly hold the theory of reasoning, hope, understanding. Maybe a look at the sky will soothe the heaviness and bring light to solace.

Daily Haiku Winter Hawk

In this, “Daily Haiku Winter Hawk,” one feels the silence as it falls upon hands, hair, and nose.

A melting moment in, “Daily Haiku Winter Hawk,” Temporary— It speaks of weightlessness. The row of lattice wanders into standing soldiers. Wings split the morning cold. Snowflakes wander endlessly. One lands upon my nose. Warmth and cold collide. Gone— no goodbyes.

Furline boots wrap a warm blanket around toes. Steaming cup of coffee escapes into crispness. Exhaling water vapor from open mouth— Tiny droplets hung in a cloud. An ah-ha moment. Golden fingers touch.

What is Appreciation?

When you have an appreciation for something, you can see and truly understand its good qualities. One way to show your appreciation for a particularly wonderful musical performance is to give a standing ovation when it’s over.

A slightly different kind of appreciation is having good taste or the ability to see aesthetic beauty in something, like members of a wine appreciation group or the teacher of a music appreciation class. There’s also the appreciation that means a rise in monetary value—you might refer to the appreciation of the value of a house, for example.

Image of Free Verse Upon the Awakening

Free Verse Upon the Awakening

Free Verse Upon the Awakening, it’s easy to forget, to go on day after day, fulfilling everyday life.

Do you sometimes tuck away or brush off the little things. I find myself doing it from time to time until “Free Verse Upon the Awakening,” reminds you it could fade within seconds.

When I create a digital art piece, I remember the places I’ve been, how I could have lost my life, was it fate or GOD who had other intentions. One thing I’ve realized is I am just a small, small piece of it all.

With each layer added in this digital art piece, is a layer of my life, her life. I was saved for her.

Free Verse Upon the Awakening

It all gets so mundane at times.

Until the alarm clock breaks
dreams and morning light.

Bianca waltzes in with
A sweet peck on my cheek and

Morning mom. I’m so excited to get my new recorder today.

You can’t top that.
Simplicity and the little things that you smile into blue sky until it clouds cover.
Simplicity and little things, sisters of appreciation.

I know what this recorder offers her.

A voice for tomorrow. The next American Idol. Dreams.

Image Free Verse Therapy

Free Verse Therapy

Free Verse Therapy— listening is sometimes the only sound a heart needs to feel with compassion.

Free Verse Therapy,” was written as an example of showing compassion, not through words, just being there, open with silence, being a sounding board without noise. Touch can reveal intimacy beyond the physical pleasure, reaching to the core of the heart where pain resides. Touch can heal the soul. Sometimes, all I want is someone to hear what my heart desires to reveal; then tears come in therapy.

FREE VERSE THERAPY

The headrail of my bed comes with
lavender hazel eyes,
the resting place for my yielding tears.

Unwind the morning
under the gentle caress.

Your tender fingers seduce in emotion.

Your compassion will consume me, poured out-revealing;
Charlatan Syndrome
Barred walls disheveled
your arms, understanding therapist
all my pain, unraveled.

Digital Art Sky Scrapes Glass

In this, “Digital Art Sky Scrapes Glass,” I see blue beyond eyelids and hear the screeching of an eagle.

Digital Art Sky Scrapes Glass, is the appreciation in the beauty of nature, and it’s illuminating anesthetic effect. Glass reveals a temporary paint changing in the seconds of times hand.

What is Digital Art?

Digital art is an artistic work or practice that uses digital technology as an essential part of the creative or presentation process. Since the 1970s, various names have been used to describe the process, including computer art and multimedia art. Digital art is itself placed under the larger umbrella term new media art.[1][2]

After some initial resistance,[3] the impact of digital technology has transformed activities such as paintingdrawing, sculpture and music/sound art, while new forms, such as net art, digital installation art, and virtual reality, have become recognized artistic practices.[4] More generally the term digital artist is used to describe an artist who makes use of digital technologies in the production of art. In an expanded sense, “digital art” is contemporary art that uses the methods of mass production or digital media.[5]

Daily Haiku Answers

In this, “Daily Haiku Answers,” One finds answers in specific places of the mind. Seek.

In, Daily Haiku Answers, I see blue in the sky of the open mind and searching, seeking for the peace, when storms erupt upon skies. Get away to a place of comfort, consolidation of time. Open the book to answers that lie pages, take solace from a world you cannot control. Leave it to settle and accept. Answers lie in the clouds.

“Life is full of choices and questions and sometimes the choices are so important or so difficult to make that they can create mental anxiety and anguish. I started meditating regularly during my studies as a student back in the early 90’s. It was a busy time and I personally found meditation a great way of sifting through the mental chatter to find meaningful answers. By using the stillness within meditation, I learned to access a more intuitive state of awareness.”

Image Free Verse - I Fight

Free Verse – I Fight

Free Verse – I Fight to save you, them from a world that wants to swallow you whole.

“Free Verse – I Fight” was written as an example of the very reason I choose to write: So I don’t go stir crazy watching this world. At the height of the holidays, there is a point when darkness overcome one’s mind. Such heavy darkness. And having grown up with family, and friends sharing the holidays over laughter, good food. I know all to well the pain that swallows the heart when the holidays approach and you remember.

I know how strong one must be to fight the sadness that wants to creep into the light and overcome, steal the happiness and especially when those are no longer sharing your holidays with you. I have learned to cry with joy of the memories I was blessed with, and tell the stories of them. Maybe in “Free Verse – I Fight to keep the fire for life lit and those memories too.

Image Free Verse: I Fight

Free Verse – I Fight

I saw it again.
That spark.
That fire—ignited in your heart.

For the first time, in a long time.
It was there in blue eyes.

I know of the darkness,
and the night that steals the light.
It comes first in the shadows.
A black heaviness that weights one down.

Too many stones.

I kept the fire going for you.
Each day, throwing love as branches to a campfire.

Meant for warmth.

Some let the embers die.
I refuse to see the ashes of you and me.
You’re too kind of a man.

I fight to hold you, nothing more,
I fight because I can see
myself
in your eyes,
suffering.

I fight because you want to be here.
I fight because you hate being dark
and there’s no place else.

I fight because I let you feel free
and sometimes you
ask if you can spend eternity in my heart.

I love.

I provide light for the darkness
that can’t see beyond the shadows.
I’m a conduit when you just want to cry.

I fight because the world
does not provide perfect life.
I fight because I hated the darkness growing up
and I’m tired of the darkness stronghold.

I fight to love.
I fight because I want him to remember
his father, sister, and mom and quit falling.
I fight to be humble.
I fight to be strong.
I see the tears, and I can recognize the heart of pain.

Today is the only thing I control.

So, I will;

hold you when your heart is heavy
when you just need to pour words from your soul.
Cup your tears for saving.
Just know that every time I open my heart
I save you, them from a world that wants to swallow you all whole.

Free Verse Growth

Free Verse Growth; Nothing is Inevitable.

In, Free Verse Growth, we can’t change the unavoidable. As a mother of three daughters, I must live each day in the now moment. For, I do not know how long I will be here in this place, building, city, state, or the world. But I do know what to offer of myself to leave footprints for tomorrow and the future of my daughters, grandchildren, and their grandchildren’s children. A lineage of me, of my hopes, inspirations, and beliefs of goodness and GOD. Here’s to wishing you all a wonderfully blessed holiday!

Free Verse Growth

Flying, she slices the blue.
Swooping white, atmosphere.

The way flames swirl against edges
of visible and reaction. Color. Temperature.

But not like a fallen bird
To accept its wings were broken or
the snow-covered carcass of bones and hide.

Nothing is inevitable.

Yesterday was of laughter, today sober realities.
For every moment given, is one taken.

Growth is the reshaping.  Of thoughts. Heart and mind.
