A free verse poetry, “Painted Soul.”
I’m in need of reflection. In fact, to seek a deeper meaning of the word souls and humanity. I read the news on the Internet, and my soul bleeds of the heartless pain inflicted upon one another. The unfortunate happening of the voices of earth, it’s grumbling of changes. Above all, We can’t ignore it anymore. I become heavy with empathy, there are too much grief and loss. I am acute to this humaneness after the many losses I’ve myself endured these last few years. Yet, I have hope for change. A free verse poetry and a digital art piece in hopes of offering enlightenment.
Free Verse in Painted Soul.
My soul never reveals but exposes instead when prompted from its hidden place. A habitat of emotions so colorful only the ambiguous knows it.
Or perhaps the friend, who seems to know my thoughts as much as I.
A free spirit, a wild heart to love, utterly spontaneous, wings of flight on slightest breezes, and colors bleed at fingertips, somewhat untamed of life chains.
We’ve never painted the persons and rendered them colorless. The tender souls, with complex emotions, and discarded agony. But if we could gather all the losses we’ve cultivated together over the years.
We’d form a movement of humanity, a collaboration of souls and resolution, a conquest in memory of the wandering ones. The mistakes, and happenstance. And the tears discarded along the way.
The soul does care. It is. It breathes. It stirs things; it enlightens, it separates good and evil. And in return is refreshed, alive, and later, in the quietness of solace, maintains it vitality with endurance and hope.
Cast life upon life, until finally, it finds itself back into the ground, never to speak again.
