Daily Haiku Answers

In this, “Daily Haiku Answers,” One finds answers in specific places of the mind. Seek.

In, Daily Haiku Answers, I see blue in the sky of the open mind and searching, seeking for the peace, when storms erupt upon skies. Get away to a place of comfort, consolidation of time. Open the book to answers that lie pages, take solace from a world you cannot control. Leave it to settle and accept. Answers lie in the clouds.

“Life is full of choices and questions and sometimes the choices are so important or so difficult to make that they can create mental anxiety and anguish. I started meditating regularly during my studies as a student back in the early 90’s. It was a busy time and I personally found meditation a great way of sifting through the mental chatter to find meaningful answers. By using the stillness within meditation, I learned to access a more intuitive state of awareness.”

Daily Haiku: Contentment

In this, “Daily Haiku: Contentment,” and picture peaceful satisfaction.

I see more than just a water well in this picture, and Daily Haiku: Contentment. I know life hangs in the balance; color extends from vines that reach and rises to the sun. Blue resides within walls. Reflection comes in just being satisfied.

Contentment— a well.

Freedom— of being.

What is contentment? One dictionary defines contentment as “the state of being mentally or emotionally satisfied with things as they are.” Today it is rare that we find anyone who is truly content with his or her condition in life. The Bible has a great deal to say about contentment—being satisfied with what we have, who we are, and where we’re going. Jesus said, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?” (Matthew 6:25).

Daily Haiku Strut

In this, “Daily Haiku Strut,” and digital art piece. A picture painted of strength and self-confidence.

In this canvas, “Daily Haiku Strut,” and the digital art piece here, I saw more than just a big wild cat. I saw a story that can unfold in imagination. In photoshop, I wanted to portray cartoon and reality. One sizeable muscled leopard in realness, and a cartoon wilderness of brier, broken brambles with thorns, and dried dead sage that tumbles across a desert floor. The heat that scorches a tongue dry.

A leopard moves from fantasy and enters a world of realism. I invite you to add the next line! Let’s start a story!

Daily Haiku Lost But Not Looking to Be Found

In, Daily Haiku Lost But Not Looking to Be Found; I am happy with the just being.

“Daily Haiku Lost But Not Looking to Be Found;” is an attempt to express the freedom to render words or represent past hardships in the medium of expression. Moving in and out of emotions, sometimes drowning and immobile, and other times flowing and flying. Hardship experiences have solidity, a beginning, but then seems to re-group, a change shifter, wearing the disguise of words spoken. But finding the center through repetition. I see myself happy in just being strolling through the city.

In those moments walking beside voiceless strangers and listening to footprints upon concrete walking paths. The tap tap tap of words being formed by someone I don’t know. It’s settling being happy inside one’s skin and absorbing the fragile patterns of the city. It’s calming just being me.

Daily Haiku Blue and Resolve

“Daily Haiku Blue” is a little haiku that speaks to “resolve” the daily challenges that can affect a child who’s hurting inside.

In this “Daily Haiku Blue and Resolve,” as a mother of a nine-year-old-daughter who endures the daily struggles of growing up without a father, I would be foolish not write about feelings of tender minds. I am not with her all day at school, I can’t fight her battles, but I can certainly give resolve to the emotions she can feel.

Lines crossed her forehead, anger seethed through her body language. I asked if she was ok; she claimed everything was wrong. I asked if she could write everything on paper, exactly how she felt. With each line on white canvas, the pain oozed in words. She handed me the paper, I read it. I cried. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her into the brown comfy chair.

With each of her lines, we came to resolve that bullying isn’t nice. But how we react to it “can resolve or increase the issue immensely.” Tears flowed down fine cheek lines, a tiny body now relaxed, she looked into my eyes: ‘Mommy, I love you. I feel so much better. I held her for awhile.

Sometimes distinguished,
Sometimes not. A heart cry,
Moist, heaviness lingers.

Daily Haiku: Pounce

 Daily Haiku Pounce

Daily haiku pounce, usually does not require a description. But, I love to divulge more into my poetry. If you’re one of my consistent lovely followers, you are already familiar with my writing style. Also, in my everyday life, things change like the weather, moments fluctuate by the seconds. And that’s where I love to start my intro to each piece of poetry. Granted, it may be a quote, haiku, or free verse.

Today, I’m going to interpret curiosity. I’m sure you’ve all heard the quote “Curiosity killed the cat.” I’m the curious sort, are you? My inquisitiveness gets the best of me sometimes. For example, I have this drive in myself to overachieve, go beyond the next person. For me, the internet is my vise.

I pounce on to research like a cat pounces on a mouse, or fly. Toying with the notion of where it leads me. It’s exciting to learn new ways or of new products that are hot in the marketplace. I challenge myself; I want more. Do you get like that?

I saw this picture of Pixabay. It intrigued me. Reminds me of myself. Popped it into PhotoShop, and added a few effects and layers. Hope you enjoy this daily haiku and digital art piece I’ve named “Pounce.”

Daily Haiku: Wild Rose

In this Daily Haiku, “Wild Rose.”

A delicate daily haiku. To be is existence. Offering all that you’re and nothing in return, receive me. My being the wild rose, whose stem is barbed with thorns, whose words prick with honesty.

My silence is not of my creation. Notice of the petals and its pink hunger, the fragrance, and the sun blending under the open blue sky. That beauty, untouched. That warmth brushed away.

You might deny my impulses. You might dismiss my essence and the diversity of my form. I offer extinction, and in an offering, receive me.

A daily haiku and digital art piece for believing in true-self.

She offers nothing.
Her beauty is boundless.
Fragrant and silent.
