A free verse poetry, “Answers in the Mist.”
I’m in need of a walk and to throw thoughts to the wind. And have a breeze sweep them away into the gray clouds. Branches call to me, saying, look to the obscurities a sky holds. A wetting blanket is comforting a soul. Saturation is the mist holding answers. In this free verse poetry and digital art piece, I am offering solace in the silence of fog.
Do you ever find you need to just get away? You love your family, friends, activities, the noises of life. Do feel ya just need to get lost in the lack of details, busyness. I sure do.
Who are you, seeking solace in the fog?
Has life swallowed you?
Here you’re awaiting answers.
With mist upon cheekbones.
Between suspended water and gray.
Cooling gagged thoughts.
Branches leave small talk.
Minuscule smile cracks.
