In, Breath Paints Fog Poem, my inner child pleads for playing outside, for the fresh air after the rainfall. She wants the adventure, to view, to breathe life.
In, Breath Paints Fog Poem, sometimes I wish just to sit and ponder. Sometimes too much. Then I find myself falling into patterns. Patterns created from habits. I’m going to be open to my inner child. I want the smell of raindrops on damp dead grass, to see into the impressions of footsteps left from someone I don’t know. Who knows I might catch up to them and say Hello?

Breath Paints Fog Poem
Out of 568 steps, breath paints fog.
Fingers lift square pieces of concrete
Rising as if to speak “Watch out or you’ll tumble and fall.
The dog on the tethered line to the palm
and he steps into repetitious heartbeats.
Muscles and bones reach intensity.
The ascent pulls at nimble balloons.
Ozone fills walls.
We stop and clasp time.
